01.09.2014

On September 1, Tatarstan Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov began his working trip to Agryz Region with a visit to his own school to take part in celebrations dedicated to the Knowledge Day.

"In 2015, it will be 30 years since I finished school. Many years have passed, but school years, teachers and classmates are not forgotten. Today, when I see my teachers again I feel so excited as if I were back in my school years. Thank you, my dear teachers,” Ildar Khalikov said, greeting his teachers. At his school, he walked through corridors, visited the chemistry classroom, where he studied, and met with his classmates.

Then, Head of Tatarstan Government took part in the solemn commissioning of 15 houses in October microdistrict. "After explosions that took place in  Pugachevo village three years ago, wooden barracks built in the 1930-ies were found to be unsuitable for living in. Tatarstan President addressed the Russian Government with a request to build new houses instead shabby barracks. As a result, a modern microdistrict was built shortly. This should be the starting point for renovation of Agryz,” Ildar Khalikov said.

A total of 267 families received keys to  new apartments.  Ildar Khalikov visited some of them and later met with activists of the region. Head of the region Valery Makarov reported on the social and economic development of the region, including improvement of living conditions due to 18 social programmes implemented in the region.

Ildar Khalikov, in his turn, told about projects being implemented within the framework of regional programmes in Tatarstan. "Rustam Minnikhanov assured that implementation of all 30 programmes will be continued in 2015. Tatarstan is one the leading region in many respects and sets an example for other Russian regions,” Ildar Khalikov said.
