Rustam Minnikhanov meets Director General of KAMAZ Automaker Sergey Kogogin

On January 29, at the Kazan Kremlin, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov had a meeting with Director General of KAMAZ Automaker Sergey Kogogin who reported on the main results of the enterprise in 2019 and plans for the current year.

Kogogin said that despite the decrease in the heavy truck market in 2019, the KAMAZ strengthened its position by increasing its share to 44,2 per cent, while in 2018 it was 40 per cent. Export of KAMAZ trucks amounted to over 5,000 units.

According to the business plan, KAMAZ is to sell 35,709 trucks in 2020, as many as 29,000 units of which will be delivered to the Russian market and 6,709 - to foreign countries. The total investment, amounted to 14.1 billion roubles, is envisaged to the development of production.

Kogogin said that one of the main tasks of this year is the launch of the K5 generation of the main family of the trucks on the market corresponding to the world level in technical specifications and consumer properties.
