Rustam Minnikhanov: The Russian Government has always served the interests of the country and the regions

15.01.2020

On January 15, during his working visit to Moscow, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov told reporters that the Russian Government has always served the interests of the country and the regions. Today, Dmitry Medvedev has announced that the entire Cabinet is resigning.

“I am very satisfied with the work of the Russian Government without any complaints. I am not quite satisfied with myself. We all have shortcomings in our work, as well as strengths and weaknesses. As for the new Cabinet of Ministers, we will work with those assigned by the country's leadership,” Minnikhanov emphasized.

Medvedev, who resigned his post of the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, deserves gratitude, Minnikhanov added.

Minnikhanov commented on the decision made by the Russian President on raising the status of the State Council of the Russian Federation. “The State Council is of great importance. Initiatives developed as part of its activities are supported by the country's leadership. I head the working group on housing market development and creating a comfortable living environment. In February, the President held a meeting of the Presidium on improving housing conditions, and almost all of our suggestions have found application. Thus, this is an effective form of work. I think the head of state has made the decision based on this. Indeed, all governors are involved in the work of the State Council. In our working group alone, six governors head subgroups. Everyone expresses his opinion, which reaches the country's leadership well-consolidated,” Minnikhanov added.
