Tatarstan President: We are proud of our young people, who are successful both in work and in art

On November 16, at the Pyramida Entertainment Complex in Kazan, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov attended a gala-concert of the 7th Annual Open Regional Festival of Working Youth Creativity “Our time - Beznen Zaman”.

Held since 2013, the festival performs an important function in promoting blue-collar jobs, unlocking the creative potential of young people working at regional enterprises, and developing human resources. 

“A workingman is the main component of every country, region, district and enterprise. You represent the organizations of our republic. You are production workers, who are also successful in the field of art,” Minnikhanov addressed the participants of the festival.

He reminded that 2019 was declared the Year of Workers in Tatarstan, as part of which a number of important events have been arranged, with the WorldSkills Competition held in Kazan being the main one among them. “Great attention is paid to supporting working youth in Tatarstan. As many as 36 resource centres are successfully operating. Our enterprises are actively working with the youth,” Tatarstan President continued.

Minnikhanov stressed that the republic has always sought to increase the prestige of a workingman, and such creative festivals as “Our time - Beznen Zaman” contributes to this work. “When you come together and prepare such colorful performances, it means that you are a united team both in production and on stage. We will continue to support this format. We are proud of you. You are the talent pool of our republic, our future!” Tatarstan President emphasized.

This year, 970 people from 174 enterprises of the oil, power engineering, machine-building industry, educational and social facilities from 43 municipal regions of the republic took part in the festival. As many as 750 people from 81 organizations reached the final. According to the results of the competition, the team of the Gorbunov Kazan Aircraft Plant became the owner of the Grand Prix.
