On August 28, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov handed in keys to new ambulances and mobile medical complexes to Tatarstan doctors. In total, 187 vehicles will be handed over this year.

Before the ceremony, Minnikhanov examined the new vehicles. He was told that all the ambulances are ready for emergency medical care, transportation and monitoring of patients, as well as intensive care at the prehospital stage.

“The President of Russia has set the task of improving the quality of life of our citizens. As many as 12 national projects are aimed at solving this problem. Everything related to the quality of life largely depends on the well-coordinated work of the healthcare system and social protection. We closely monitor the condition of vehicles, because ambulances are a very important element of the healthcare system,” Tatarstan President emphasized.

The leading medical facilities of Kazan, Naberezhnye Chelny and Almetyevsk will receive three mobile medical complexes for servicing rural dwellers. All of them are equipped with modern diagnostic and laboratory equipment.

“In total, four mobile complexes were purchased. One of them is already in operation. All cars have increased cross-country ability, therefore our doctors will be able to get to every settlement in the republic,” Minnikhanov added.
