Rustam Minnikhanov arrives on a working visit in Naryan-Mar (the Nenets Autonomous District)

On August 16, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov arrived on a working visit in Naryan-Mar (the Nenets Autonomous District).

The delegation of the republic led by Minnikhanov includes Minister of Industry and Trade of the republic n Albert Karimov, Deputy Director General of Tatneft Oil Company - Chief Geologist Rais Khisamov and other officials.

The programme of Minnikhanov’s working visit  includes a meeting with Governor of the Nenets Autonomous District Aleksandr Tsybulsky, the signing of a  cooperation agreement between the Republic of Tatarstan and the Nenets Autonomous District.

Yesterday, on the 15th of August, a draft cooperation agreement between Tatarstan and the Nenets Autonomous District was adopted at a meeting of the Nenets Autonomous District authorities.  Vice Governor of the district Yuri Bezdudny said during the meeting that the agreements are framework and cover almost all areas of activity of regional authorities. “These agreements provide an opportunity to expand our cooperation with the regions in many areas and, we believe that following the signing, various additional programmes will appear in educational, cultural and economic sectors,” he said.

Moreover, it is expected that Minnikhanov will visit the Arktika Culture House, where he will get acquainted with the ethnographic exposition of the Nenets Autonomous District.
