Turkmenistan is ready to buy trucks, planes and ships in Tatarstan

On June 23, at the Kazan Kremlin, at his meeting with Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, the leader of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov said that Turkmenistan is ready to buy 2,000 KAMAZ trucks and that the republic needs tourist ships and airplanes for the development of agricultural aviation.

“We are signing an agreement on the purchase of 2,000 vehicles of various modifications with KAMAZ Automakre today.  And we also plan to buy more vehicles in future. We would like to ask you to improve service issues in terms of material and technical support,” Berdymukhamedov said. He also noted that there are no KAMAZ service centres in two regions of Turkmenistan, which causes some inconvenience for consumers.

President of Turkmenistan also noted that his country needs aircraft and ships. “We would be happy to buy a ship for excursion trips and products that you showed us today at the exhibition. These are planes that will be used in agriculture and in other areas,” Berdymukhamedov explained. He clarified that Turkmenistan is also interested in cooperation with Tatarstan in the fuel and power engineering sector.

A delegation fromTurkmenistan arrived on a working visit in Tatarstan today. After arriving at the Kazan International Airport, the guests were demonstrated products of the leading enterprises of the republic, including KAMAZ Automaker, Zelenodolsk Shipbuilding Plant and Kazan Helicopter Plant. Moreover, they were also shown products produced by Tatneft Oil Company, KER-Holding (engineering solutions) and other regional enterprises.
