Tatarstan President visits a stone-processing plant in Kukmor

On April 23, during his working visit to Kukmor region of the republic, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov visited a stone-processing plant. 

The new plant specializes in the processing of natural stones and the subsequent manufacturing of facing and paving slabs, side stones, hardscaping made of granite and marble (columns, fountains, monuments, bas-reliefs, etc.), kitchen worktops, window sills, stairs and other stone products.

Minnikhanov was told that an industrial complex equipped with modern precision equipment makes it possible to process stone and produce turned articles and art products of diverse complexity. An automated line performs operations  from sawing a block to profiling finished products.

When the plant reaches its designed capacity, more than 100 jobs will be created. 

Minnikhanov looked around production facilities and got acquainted with the technology for processing various types of stones, and also asked about the sale of finished products. According to the plant director, products are sold to both private clients and large enterprises in Tatarstan, Moscow, Vladimir, Nizhny Novgorod, Samara, Leningrad regions.
