Rustam Minnikhanov arrives on a working visit in Finland

On December 3, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, who arrived on a two-day working visit in Helsinki (Finland), was met by Ambassador of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Finland Pavel Kuznetsov at the airport.

In Helsinki, Minnikhanov will meet Finnish business representatives and will take part in the world-famous SLUSH conference of start-ups and young entrepreneurs.

A bilateral meeting of Tatarstan President with President of Finland Sauli Niiniste is also expected.

Prospects for the development of trade and economic relations between Tatarstan and Finland are planned to be considered during a round table with participation of representatives of the local business community. The increase of mutual trade turnover will be the main topic of the meeting between Minnikhanov and Minister of Economic Affairs and Employment of Finland Mika Lintilä.

During the SLUSH, Tatarstan President will get acquainted with the exhibition of new innovative solutions and promising start-up projects and will discuss options for cooperation with the senior managers of Fortum energy company.

Tatarstan President also plans to visit Amos Rex Art Museum, the new central library of Helsinki and meet the local Tatar Diaspora.

Tatarstan delegation included Deputy Prime Minister of the republic – Tatarstan Minister of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov, Deputy Prime Minister of the republic – Tatarstan Minister of Information and Communications Roman Shaykhutdinov, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Vasil Shaikhraziev, Aide to Tatarstan President Radik Gimatdinov, Regional Minister of Culture Irada Ayupova, Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin and Head of Tatarstan Investment Development Agency Taliya Minullina.
