Rustam Minnikhanov holds a meeting of the Council regulating the sale of alcohol and alcohol-containing products

On November 29, in the Government House of the republic, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov with participation of Prime Minister of the republic Aleksey Pesoshin held a meeting of the Council regulating the sale of alcohol and alcohol-containing products in the republic which discussed results for nine months of the current year.

Head of Tatarstan State Alcohol Inspectorate Zhaudat Akhmetkhanov made a keynote report and said that the Inspectorate carried out inspections at 10,702 facilities of alcoholic market and revealed 2207 violations of legislation in the sale of alcohol products in 1847 economic entities and imposed fines for the sum of 32m 155 thousand roubles for violations. The largest number of violations was registered in Kazan, Naberezhnye Chelny and Nizhnekamsk.

As many as 33,500 liters of alcohol and alcohol-containing products were seized from illegal trafficking from January to September, 2018.

“People’s Control information system plays an important role in the organization of control and inspection activities,” Akhmetkhanov said.

For the first nine months of the current year, citizens of all 45 municipal regions of the republic sent 1247 appeals. The information about violations of the law was confirmed in 410 complaints. Thus, the efficiency of the system is about 33 per cent.

He also added that Tatarstan ranks 18th in the federal ranking, held by Federal Service for Alcohol Market Regulation.

At the same time, the republic ranks first among the entities of the Volga Federal District.
