Signing of cooperation documents between Tatarstan and Huawei Company takes place in Shenzhen

On November 16, at the headquarters of the Chinese company in Shenzhen, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and Vice-President of Huawei Company Amy Lin took part in the signing ceremony of a number of documents on cooperation between Tatarstan and the Huawei.

Tatarstan Minister of Information and Communications Roman Shaykhutdinov and Vice-President of the Huawei for global cooperation Zhou  Weihua signed a memorandum on cooperation between the Ministry and the Huawei. Under the document, the Huawei will launch the research centre in the republic.

Tatneft Oil Company and the Huawei agreed on interaction and Director General of the Tatneft Nail Maganov and Deputy Director-General on Business Customers coordination of the Huawei Aleksandr Stolyarov signed a memorandum on cooperation.

Last year, during his working visit to Shenzhen, Minnikhanov held meeting with senior managers of Huawei Company.

The parties agreed on implementation of a number of projects in Tatarstan. In particular, a Memorandum of Understanding between the republic and the Huawei was signed during the annual meeting of Tatarstan Ministry of Information and Communications. The parties agreed to develop cooperation in the area of digital economy, education and science, healthcare, 5G system, housing and utilities, etc.

Later, the Huawei Academy was opened at the Kazan Federal University and educational seminars were held for heads of ministries, departments and enterprises of Tatarstan.

Minnikhanov and Huawei CEO in Russia Aiden Wu took part in a solemn opening of the 5G test zone of the fifth generation at the University of Innopolis in May this year.

Also, the Huawei staff paid a number of visits to the republic aimed at identifying opportunities for joint research and development in Tatarstan.
