Rustam Minnikhanov: Business mission of Finnish companies in Tatarstan will allow us to achieve positive results

On October 17, in Kazan, on the sidelines of the Finish Business in Kazan Forum, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov met Ambassador of Finland to Russia Mikko Hautala, who led a Finish business delegation to Tatarstan.  

About 50 Finnish companies specializing in the field of construction, agriculture, education, information technology, the production of industrial equipment and technology, utilities and other spheres are taking part in the forum.

“I am sure that this business mission will allow us to achieve positive results as part of Russian-Finnish relations. Finland is a strategic foreign partner of Tatarstan. We have prospects for the development of relations at the regional level,” Minnikhanov emphasized.

He said that in December a business delegation from Tatarstan will visit Helsinki with a return visit. “I have no doubt that we will be able to find many interesting areas for interaction,” Tatarstan President added.

According to Minnikhanov, Tatarstan and Finland have a great potential for cooperation in the field of construction, education, information technology, sports and a number of other sectors.

In his turn, Mikko Hautala thanked the leadership of Tatarstan for their support and assistance provided to Finnish business in implementing projects in the republic.

Then, the representatives of the business circles of Finland briefly informed the meeting about activities of their companies and outlined promising areas for cooperation with Tatarstan.
