On October 17, at the KAZAN EXPO Exhibition Centre, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov took part in the opening of the Road 2018 International Specialized Exhibition.

Delivering his welcoming speech, Aide to Russian President Igor Levitin congratulated everyone on their professional holiday - the day of road workers. This exhibition is the final report of road workers over the past year, Levitin said and reminded that the specialized exhibition is being held for the ninth time. According to Levitin, for the first time the exhibition is held not in Moscow, but in the region - Tatarstan.

A new venue, the Kazan EXPO, is a place where all the conditions for holding such events are created, Levitin said. He also reminded that the opening of a section of the M-7 Volga highway, which had been under construction for several years, has just taken place. The road of the first category is great, he stressed. “We are building roads not for cars, but for people,” he stressed.

In his turn, Minnikhanov thanked the Federal Highway Agency for choosing Tatarstan to host the Road 2018 Exhibition. This is a landmark event to us, Minnikhanov said.

After opening the exhibition by pushing a symbolic button, Minnikhanov, Levitin and other guests got acquainted with the exhibitors' stands.
