Rustam Minnikhanov launched two new facilities at TANECO Oil Refining Complex

On July 12, at the Tatneft-TANEСO Oil Refining Complex, Deputy Minister of Energy of the Russian Federation Pavel Sorokin, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, Aide to Tatarstan President Rinat Sabirov, Director General of Tatneft Oil Company Nail Maganov, Director General of TANECO Leonid Alekhin and Licensing Sales Director of Russia and CIS at Shell Global Solutions Yulia Zaeva took part in launching of two new facilities of kerosene and diesel fuel hydrotreatment.

In his welcoming speech, Minnikhanov noted that the TANECO project is the largest in the Russian oil refining industry. According to him, refining capacity of a new technological generation with maximum processing depth has been established at the Nizhnekamsk industrial site. “The TANECO is the most modern plant in our new Russia. Let it develop and be number one in the country,” Minnikhanov emphasized.

Sorokin said that the Tatneft and the TANECO set a good example to the other teams of Russia.

Maganov thanked federal and regional authorities and Russian Ministry of Energy for the support in the implementation of the TANECO project. He added that today, the TANECO is a leader of the Russian oil refining industry, strengthening economic stability of our country.

In total, during the project implementation, 307 billion roubles were invested into the project. At the peak times, over 10,000 people worked at the construction site.

Today, TANECO's refineries are fully loaded. The complex produced 8.5 million tons of oil products in 2017. The processing depth exceeded 99.2 per cent and output of light oil products was over 87.5 per cent.
