Rustam Minnikhanov visits Moskovsky Centre of Culture and Sport in Kazan

On June 12, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov visited Moskovsky Centre of Culture and Sport in Kazan after a major repair.

The main building of the Centre was commissioned in 1934 and has never been overhauled.

Significant changes began in 2017, when Minnikhanov supported the initiative on capital repair of culture centers.

The Moskovsky Centre became a pilot project on renovation of culture centres in the republic. There were additional directions of creative and intellectual development, classes in robotics, programming and aeromodelling. There is a gym, in which Zhiznelub project participants are involved, sections on mini-football, volleyball and badminton are available.

Besides, the first in Kazan cinematography school and the Chinese language classes have been opened.

Minnikhanov and his entourage inspected the renovated Moskovsky Centre and talked to the children and their parents who were in the park.

Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin, Head of Chief of Staff of Tatarstan President’s Administration Asgat Safarov, Minister of Youth and Sport of the republic Vladimir Leonov and other officials accompanied Tatarstan President during the visit.
