Tatarstan President: Sowing campaign is nearing completion, there is no reason to worry about

On May 22, in the afternoon, during his working visit to Yutazi and Aznakaevo municipal regions of the republic, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Akhmetov inspected the spring sowing campaign in the regions.

Upon his arrival to Yutazi region, Minnikhanov made a helicopter fly over the region's fields and met heads of rural settlements and agricultural enterprises. He got acquainted with the exhibition of the products of Paker and Baset enterprises and the goods of residents of the Urussu industrial site. Minnikhanov also inspected the new building  of Urussu gymnasium commissioned at the end of 2017.

The meeting with the farmers of Aznakaevo region was held at the Soyuz –Agro livestock complex, where an improvised exhibition of agricultural crops grown in the region and products of local agricultural producers was organized.

Head of the region Marsel Shaidullin reported on the situation in the fields. To date, the sowing campaign is nearing completion, the work has been completed on 90 per cent, and as many as 55,000 hectares of 61,200 hectares have been sown.

Minnikhanov emphasized that the spring sowing campaign in the republic began later than usual because of the protracted spring. “Despite this, the sowing campaign in the republic will be completed in the next 3-4 days due to the good organization, there are still several crops left to sow. Many farms have already completed sowing. There are no reasons to worry about, we hope for good results,” Tatarstan President said.
