Rustam Minnikhanov pays a tribute to the memory of those who died in the World War II in the Victory Park

On May 9, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov laid flowers at the Eternal Flame of the Colonnade of the Glory Memorial in the Kazan Victory Park.

Tatarstan State Counsellor Mintimer Shaimiev, Chairman of the State Council of the republic Farid Mukhametshin, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin, Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin and other officials took part in the ceremony.

Tatarstan President was greeted by the participants of the Yunarmia (Young Army) movement, who congratulated him on the Victory Day. After that, Minnikhanov personally greeted every veteran who came to the Victory Park today.

The Hero of the Soviet Union Boris Kuznetsov accompanied Tatarstan President to the Memorial Complex.

After laying a wreath and flowers at the Eternal Flame, those present observed a minute of silence to commemorate the memory of those who died during the war. The anthems of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Tatarstan were played.  

Then, the officials of the republic laid flowers to the Monument to the Mothers and Widows of the Fallen Soldiers.
