Rustam Minnikhanov meets the widow of the Hero of Russia Ryafagat Khabibullin

On April 23, at the Kazan Kremlin, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov had a meeting with Ramilya Khabibullina, the widow of the Hero of Russia, a pilot Ryafagat Khabibullin, who died while fulfilling his military duty in Syria in 2016.

Speaking at the meeting, Tatarstan President noted that Ryafagat Khabibullin became a vivid example of commitment and patriotism, selfless service to the Motherland. Minnikhanov stressed that the regional leadership is always ready to provide overall support to the relatives of the deceased.

Raisa Rodionova, who is writing the book "The Living Pain of Memory", which is dedicated to Ryafagat Khabibullin and his deed of arms, also took part in the meeting. Minnikhanov stressed that this book is of great importance and thanked the author for her significant contribution to perpetuating the memory of the deceased pilot. "It is important to honour and remember the names of the heroes, tell new generations about them," he added.
