On March 16, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov took part in the opening ceremony of a large-scale educational forum for entrepreneurs “Perezagruzka”, which started in Kazan and gathered over 6,000 participants at the Basket Hall.

In his welcoming speech, Minnikhanov emphasized that the main task of the authorities of the republic is to do everything necessary for the dynamic development of small and medium-sized businesses. The programmes, implemented today, are aimed at creating an infrastructure such as special economic zones, technology parks, IT parks, Priority Social and Economic Development Areas. As many as ten per cent of all such infrastructure solutions of Russia are accumulated in Tatarstan.

“We shall give our young people opportunities to prove themselves. Here we have no doubt. Capable entrepreneurial people are important. We have enough of them. Our task is to train them, give them skills for entrepreneurship. It is also necessary to create conditions for reducing administrative barriers. Also active work is being done in this direction. I think that the Republic of Tatarstan should become a place where not only our entrepreneurs, but also young people from other regions will come, study, create new businesses,” Minnikhanov added. “I hope that this forum will be successful and useful. We have already agreed to hold such forums on a systematic basis”.

In his speech, rector of Synergy business school Grigory Avetov noted that Tatarstan, today, is one of the advanced regions of Russia in terms of the business ecosystem, attracting investments in small and medium-sized businesses. Entrepreneurship is developing very rapidly in Kazan today. "The Entrepreneur's house is opened, which is a “Single Window” in terms of ensuring entrepreneurs with all services: a coworking center, a training center and a leasing center where you can access to absolutely everything," Avetov emphasized. "Now we can say that Kazan along with Moscow competes with the key business megalopolises of the world,” he concluded.
