Tatarstan President holds meeting with leaders of traditional religious associations of the republic

On March 5, at the Kazan Kremlin, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov had a meeting with representatives of traditional religious associations of the republic.  

The meeting was held on the initiative of leaders of religious associations and discussed topical issues of development of state-religious interaction in the field of strengthening traditional spiritual values ​​and community service. The religious leaders told Tatarstan President about their experience of charitable activities and the organization of social work aimed at strengthening the institution of family and marriage, raising the birth rate, promoting healthy lifestyles, creating responsible attitude to the problems of disabled people and representatives of disadvantaged groups.

The meeting unanimously supported the  social and political policy pursued in the country and the republic, due to which all opportunities for steady religious development, spiritual and moral revival of society have been created. The religious leaders stressed the importance and the need for further strengthening and improving state-religious interaction in various spheres, fostering citizenship and patriotism, counteracting various types of radicalism, preserving peace and harmony in the republic, as well as traditional and spiritual values.
