Rustam Minnikhanov was reported on the results of the work of the Kazan agro-industrial park in 2017

On February 24, in the Government House of the republic, speaking at a regional meeting held by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, Director General of the Kazan agro-industrial park Oleg Vlasov reported on the results of the work of the park in 2017.

The Kazan agro-industrial park has been a platform for regional agricultural producers for four years, Vlasov said. The site houses 281 residents and created more than 1200 jobs. 

The turnover of the park amounted to 1.5 billion roubles in 2017, the director general continued, adding that this figure made 1.35 billion roubles in 2016 and 1.1 billion roubles in 2015.

He went on to say that the work on attracting regional farmers and developing processing facilities was continued in 2017. In particular, seven processing enterprises are currently operating in the park, with more than 300 workplaces having been created. The products are sold both in the agro-industrial park and in federal and local trade networks, Vlasov said.

Tatarstan President noted that today the main thing is that the agro-industrial park remains a place where the agricultural producers could independently sell their products.

Minnikhanov also added that the opening of such sites of a smaller size in the regions of the republic for local farmers is becoming topical.
