Aleksey Pesoshin: I am sure that the Ministry of Ecology led by Aleksandr Shadrikov will cope with all the tasks set

On February 8, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin introduced Aleksandr Shadrikov, who was appointed new Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the republic, to the ministerial staff.

He stressed that Shadrikov, who headed Drozhzhanovsky municipal region, has proved himself as a good facilitator and an effective leader.

Among the priority tasks, the Ministry is facing, the Head of the regional Government noted the further attraction of federal funds for environmental activities, the implementation of the important project "Conservation and Prevention of Pollution of the Volga River", as well as the reduction of pollutant emissions and the strengthening of environmental supervision.

"I am sure that Shadrikov together with the team will cope with the tasks set. The leadership of Tatarstan has always provided and will continue to provide overall support in this matter,” Pesoshin said. "We all understand the importance of ensuring the environmental safety of the republic, reducing the negative impact on the environment."

The Prime Minister reminded that former Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the republic Farid Abdulganiev will head the Ministry of Economy of Tatarstan. "Under his leadership the Ministry of Ecology of Tatarstan has achieved quite good results. A lot of work has been done with the federal center, a project has been launched to address environmental problems in water protection zones of the Kuibyshev and Nizhnekamsk reservoirs, the People's Control and the School Eco Patrol systems are developing. We wish you success in your new position," the Prime Minister added.
