Extended meeting of Federal Environmental, Industrial and Nuclear Supervision Service with enterprises and organizations of the Volga Federal District held in Kazan

On February 2, speaking in the Government House of the republic, at the extended meeting with enterprises and organizations of the Volga Federal District, supervised institutions of Federal Environmental, Industrial and Nuclear Supervision Service (Rostekhnadzor), held by the Head of Rostekhnadzor Aleksey Aleshin, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov said that issues of ensuring control and supervision in the field of industrial, energy and environmental security will always remain pressing and priority, because the highest concentration of  hazardous production facilities among the regions of the Volga Federal District  is in Tatarstan.

The representatives of all regions of the Volga Federal District and the municipal regions of Tatarstan took part in the meeting via video linkup.

Welcoming the participants of the meeting, Minnikhanov emphasized that the Republic of Tatarstan  is the region with significant annual investment in fixed assets and high growth rate of industrial and civil construction.

He also reminded that two new production facilities were launched with participation of Russian President Vladimir Putin at the TANECO Oil Refining Complex project at the end of January 2018. Also, construction of other facilities, some of which will be launched in the first quarter of the current year, is underway.

“Despite the difficult economic situation, the republic has managed to maintain momentum on the main macroeconomic indicators. Thus, gross regional product has achieved amount of 2 trillion 115 billion roubles. The industrial output has amounted to 2 trillion and 254 billion roubles. At the national level, our region ranks fourth in investment in fixed assets, fifth in industrial production and in housing construction,” Minnikhanov informed.

Issues of ensuring control and supervision in the field of industrial, energy and environmental security will always remain pressing and priority, because the highest concentration of  hazardous production facilities among the regions of our district is in Tatarstan, Minnikhanov said.

He emphasized that the republic ensured the required level of state control in the reported period.

Minnikhanov thanked the staff of the Volga Federal Service Administration for Ecological, Technological and Nuclear Supervision for efficient and demanding work, for professionalism, due to which the timely construction of facilities for the Universiade-2013 and the World Aquatics Championships in 2015 and other infrastructure was implemented. He reminded that the systematic work between Tatarstan and Rostekhnadzor has been carried out since 2006.

The Head of the Volga Federal Service Administration for Ecological, Technological and Nuclear Supervision (Rostekhnadzor) Boris Petrov made a keynote report on number of hazardous production facilities which are in the area of responsibility of the Volga Administration, on number of carried out inspections and revealed violations, on number accidents and incidents in 2010-2017.
