Aleksey Pesoshin holds meeting on the development of the Zelenodolsk Industrial Site

On December 20, at the Government House of the republic, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin held a meeting on the implementation of the investment project “Zelenodolsk Industrial Site”.

Director General of non-profit organization “The Fund for the development of single-industry towns” Ilya Krivogor, Head of Zelenodolsk municipal region Aleksandr Tygin, representatives of regional ministries and agencies took part in the meeting.

Pesoshin reminded that in August 2016 an agreement was signed with the Fund for the development of single-industry towns, which provided co-financing for construction of an industrial site in Zelenodolsk. To date, money has been received from the Fund in the amount of 656 million roubles and 200 million roubles have been allocated from the regional budget. The project envisages building engineering infrastructure, on-site and access roads. The infrastructure is planned to be put into operation in the third quarter of the next year.

“All works are done according to the schedule. All obligations for the current year have been met. But there is not the slightest reason to relax. Our task is to launch the site to create 2206 jobs and the inflow of investments in the amount of 9.5 billion roubles by the end of 2020,” Pesoshin stressed.

The Prime Minister added that today a number of investors have already expressed their readiness to localize their production facilities on the territory of the site.

Krivogor noted that the Zelenodolsk industrial site is an investment-attractive and has a great development potential. "I think it has a very good future. It is always difficult at the early stage of implementation of this kind of projects. However, as soon as something is done, there will be a lot of those who wish. Let us stick to this concept. Now it is necessary to work actively to attract investors,” he added.

Then, Tygin reported on the concept of development of the Zelenodolsk industrial site and forecasts of achieving the target values ​​of performance indicators for the period until 2020.
