Rustam Minnikhanov: Nizhnekamskneftekhim has become a leading petrochemical enterprise in Russia for half a century

On September 8, at a solemn event dedicated to the 50th anniversary of Nizhnekamskneftekhim pharmaceutical company at the Ice palace “Neftekhim-Arena”, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov said that Nizhnekamskneftekhim celebrates its anniversary with opening of new enterprises and stable positive dynamics.

“Nizhnekamskneftekhim has become a leading petrochemical enterprise in Russia and one of the biggest high technology chemical companies in Europe for half a century,” he added. The company produces more than 120 chemical products and is in top ten biggest world producers of synthetic rubber.

Moreover, it holds 45 per cent of the global market of polyisoprene and is in top three companies producing butyl and    halobutyl rubber.

According to Minnikhanov, the company implements the development strategy until 2025. The priority projects are construction of a unique olefin complex that will produce polyethylene, propylene, polystyrene, and other derivatives.

Rustam Minnikhanov handed in state awards of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Tatarstan, in particular the federal Order of Honour to Board Chairman of Nizhnekamskneftekhim PJSC Vladimir Busygin, and Order of Merit to the Republic of Tatarstan to personnel of the company.
