07.09.2017

On September 7, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov congratulated the Kazan Elektropribor plant, the oldest enterprise of aircraft instrument engineering in Russia, on its 100th anniversary.

Elektropribor is a leading enterprise in the Russian aerospace industry, its products are in demand in the aircraft and helicopter industry of the country and are exported to many countries around the world.

Before the solemn event, Minnikhanov visited the enterprise's production workshops, looked around some production lines, and got acquainted with plans for upgrading the facilities.

"Your factory is 100 years old. Established in Tsarist Russia, your enterprise withstood a lot of hard times: the difficult 1920s, 1941, the war when the plant was evacuated from Moscow to Kazan, the 1990s when the plant had to produce locks in order to keep its staff. But things are different now. Your shops are working in three shifts, the design bureau and the partner institutes are developing unique, necessary, modern products allowing our air force to carry out the mission assigned to them. On this holiday I want to thank old stagers of the enterprise for their work, and those who continue their business today. I wish the plant prosperity," Minnikhanov said in his greetings.

"The 100th anniversary is not the final point, but a reason to think about what needs to be done to make the enterprise prosper and be useful to the republic and the country," Director General of the plant Pavel Shatskikh said in his speech.

The solemn meeting continued with the presentation of state awards of the Republic of Tatarstan and performances of famous groups of the republic.
